Fourth Characteristic of the Bride of Christ

The Bride of Christ must have the unyielding dedication and unwavering commitment to Christ. In Proverbs 21:26, "All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing." This means that the bride is willing to be dedicated to their husband, Jesus Christ, without any weaving. This is like a Godly marriage. In a Godly marriage, the couple is dedicated to each other needs and wants in life. God is like this to us, his bride. A functioning relationship isn't one sided commitment, it is a two sided commitment. If we are dedicated and committed to Christ, then we would have more in our lives. If Christ is the only one trying to win your heart, then it is an one sided relationship. We should be keep trying to win God's hearts through our actions and our words here on earth. God wants use to be committed to Him and Him alone. In Revelation 3:16, "So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth." We must choose to work for kingdom of God daily. We must crave more of Christ in our daily lives. Some people only want Christ when they need him or want something; however, this should not be happening in people's lives. If we are part of Christ's body on earth, then we must change daily with the goal of people seeing Christ, not us.

Heaven Father,

May I be dedicated to You as Your Son, Jesus Christ, was to You. I want be unwavering committed to You, Jesus. May I keep Your commandment of loving others. May I have opportunities to be a witness to You in my daily life. Thank you for being so dedicated and commitment to me that You would have died on a cross and rising from the dead, Jesus.
