What do you see in this picture? Does it speak to you? We might look at this picture and say "Jesus don't need me to have discipleship, or have me to worship me, or to have relationship with Him." This so far from the truth. God create man in His image. It is written, "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, accoriding to Our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." (Genesis 1:26). This was because God was lonely and wanted a companion to talk to and spend time with during the day. This was true until Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating of the tree of knowledge. Sin is in our lives, but God can't look upon sin. Sin separates us from Him. For this reason, God sent His only Son to die on a cross and raise from the dead. In John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." In other words, we are the missing piece to God. We are the piece of God's heart that could not be connected to him because we were so died in our sins that God was isolated from His beloved. In the same way that we are the missing piece to God, Jesus is our missing piece. In this series of devotional, we will talk about the ways that we mask the missing piece in our hearts and how Jesus can fill that spot with God's love. This is not an easy subject for anybody.
Prayer:
May God give you guidance through this study to find the missing piece in our hearts. May God fill the missing piece with His love.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
